City of Ember
Reflection
At the start of this term are class started a book called The City Of Ember. Our task was to go on to a website called Tagul. We start it by thinking of words about your topic, then you choose a shape that is related to your topic. Then you choose your fonts and the layout of the words. The Book has lots of question and and instructions on what to do.
We are reading the City of Ember as a class. We are working on inferencing and predicting and summarising for the rest of the class. I think it's really confusing sometimes because sometimes one chapter is about one character and then another is about a different character. Sometimes it's about both.

Mulitplication Stragies
Reflection
I found the place value strategy easy because I know my place value and all my multiplication facts.
I found the compensating strategy tricky because you have to make it level. My next step is to work on my compensation strategy.

I was learning how to write a Dimante poem. I am surprised that I found so much of unique words. I found this easy because I have done diamante poems before. I am most proud of my diamante poem because I have lots of awesome words.

Cry of the Taniwha Prejudice Example
Reflection
I have been reading Cry of the Taniwha, and I have learnt to identify the characters personalities and how they act. I found this tricky finding ideas on Scott Murray and examples of him because the things that people thought about him were really violent and I was trying to remember exactly how he is inside. It was tricky trying to remember parts of the story. I most enjoyed how I had to find the information and not copy someone else's work. Next time I think I could work on a the main character because I think this might be a little easier.
Adding Using Tidy Numbers
Reflection :
In maths I have been learning to add in tidy numbers. I found this easy because the problems were easy and I also had my teacher to help me. Next time I could work on some harder problems.
